Having clashed with my own English teacher at school, I had for a long time been put off studying literature. However, there is now nothing I like more than passionately discussing books and anything related. Needing to ensure I made time for "me" amongst the teaching and parenting, I started this blog. However, it has to be said, I am still lacking the knack of ensuring it is active during term time!
A place for discussions and musings on anything literary or bibliophilia related. From book reviews, authors and top ten lists, to book shelves, book shops and literature teaching.
About Me
A thirty something mother of two children, I came to "education" late. I recognise now that I coasted through most of my school life making sure I did enough to pass under the radar but never putting much in! I paid for it later when I was bored to tears working in an HR office and decided to enter the teaching profession. I studied for my degree in Literature with the Open University part time over five long years, whilst also raising my two children and working as a Teaching Assistant in a high school. Eventually I graduated with first class honours. In 2011 I finally achieved my long term goal and qualified as an English Teacher teaching students aged 11-18.
